Vegas Or Bust! Turning Your Investing From A Gamble Into A Sure Bet! (4 of 6)

Damian here continuing our series on whether real estate investing is a risk or a gamble. We’re talking about how to make sure-fire profits even in this wacky economy that has people taking more medication now than ever before.

In the last video we determined that the key to making real estate investing a sure bet is through marketing. If you know how to buy properties at a discount and you have buyers and sellers already lined up, you can have sure-fire profits. Because then you know you have someone who is willing to buy and someone who is willing to sell. You match them up and you make the profit for performing that service and you move on to the next. You make 20k or 30k each deal and you’re set.

When I checked into my hotel here in Las Vegas, I discovered that in the welcome packet, they gave us a $20 voucher for a slot machine. Like I mentioned before, I don’t gamble; I don’t believe in gambling. But I saw this voucher and it got me to thinking.

You sit there in front of this machine and you pull a little handle. It’s very easy – even a monkey can do it. You watch the cherries and apples and oranges spinning and it’s totally random. You have no control over it. Who knows – you might make a few dollars. Or you might make a lot. Or you might just keep pumping quarters into it all night long and lose them all. There is absolutely no control. This is why people freak out over their investments in the stock market – they have no control over it.

Now think about your real estate investing business. Is it also like the slot machine? Do you randomly pull the handle and you don’t know what’s going to happen. Sometimes you get something; other times you get nothing. Do you approach your real estate investing marketing like this?
