    Damian,

Great story! I’ve read it from your blog post before but it never loses it power & motivation.

Looking forward to the next installment.

I would liken the lesson in this video with the wisdom inherent to one’s exercise of careful consideration from whom they choose to receive advice and guidance. In its most generalized form, one who desires to be ’successful’ should make the choice to model success as opposed to abiding their own ‘hunches’ or those of others who also lack authoritative knowledge – with results that support the fact. It is best to always ‘consider the source’ of the opinions and advice one chooses to accept and act upon, evaluating the source with a critical eye – even when that ’source’ happens to be oneself.

The word ‘LUCK’ can be viewed as an acronym for ‘Laboring Under Correct Knowledge.’ Most successful people are ‘lucky’ viewed from this perspective. Conversely, if the foundation of beliefs that form the basis for one’s actions is inherently flawed, so too will be results that emerge from them. If one recognizes the significance of this fact then one has reason to evaluate all sources of knowledge that influence their beliefs, affect their thinking, and ultimately, produce their behaviors. One’s prospects for success in any endeavor are poor should their efforts be based upon false or incorrect knowledge – regardless of its origins.

As may be inferred from this video, Damian possesses the knowledge, reasons, willingness and courage to think and act ‘outside of the box.’ Had he instead embraced traditional thinking he would have likely accepted the realtor’s assessment, not implemented the creative solution that led to him being a ‘pig’ (according to the realtor’s assessment), and thereby, potentially not have experienced the ’spark’ of inspiration that fed his interest in real estate investing as an entrepreneur. I suggest this would have been sad for all who are connected with him via any of the many means by which to do so. It would appear that all such means trace their origin to that event.

Consider well the ideas you choose to embrace as your truth. They will prove to be either assets or liabilities to you when considering and acting upon what you ‘know.’
